I can't say enough about Elizabeth and James of Vignette Photography.

Before my wife and I got married, a pastor who mentored us shared with me his one regret from his own wedding: by going cheap on the photographer, he didn't have quality photos of his special day. With this in my head, I wanted to make sure my wife and I had images that we'll be able to share with our grandchildren and that, when arguments and stress and tensions begin to overwhelm us, we can look to and reflect on the love and joy of our day.

Because of Austin's status as a prime location for a destination wedding, it has plenty of photographers to choose from. Vignette Photography made our short list, and after talking with Elizabeth about her vision, her goals and her business, I was sure she was the photographer for us.

Elizabeth worked with us to create a package that included our needs and wants (including a photo booth) and stayed within our budget. When we shared with her what we wanted for our engagement session, she helped scout locations and came up with an idea that was perfect in its quirkiness and its reflection of our courtship.

She and her husband James made the perfect team for our wedding, and we are beyond pleased with our engagement and wedding photo albums. And to top it off, Elizabeth worked to get our wedding and engagement session profiled by three blogs, including Elizabeth Anne Designs and 7 Centerpieces!

Again, brides and grooms getting married in or around Austin have plenty of high-quality options for photographer. I'd place Vignette among the best.

We are still in shock over how beautiful our wedding photos are! James and Elizabeth come as a team, which means you get two photographers covering the bases for the price of one. Several of my guests have mentioned to me how nice the photographers were and how they were never "in the way". In point of fact, we rarely saw them at all! And yet, they managed to capture moment after moment -- many of which we never got to see until the photos were unveiled. And they are spectacular. Beautiful, artistic -- lots of black and white and sepia for really unique and dreamy images. We were impressed with Vignette from the start to the finish. They are absolute professionals and a great value.

Elizabeth and James are wonderful. They care about their clients and are genuinely invested in making sure your event is captured perfectly. I hate having my photo taken, and they made sure I was comfortable with them. We met for dinner, we did an engagement session, we chatted on facebook and by the time my wedding day came around, I didn't think twice about the photos. They managed to be everywhere and at the same time never in the way. Guests told me how polite they were, and how every time they looked around Elizabeth or James was capturing a perfect moment. Elizabeth is very responsive. I never had trouble getting a hold of them, getting questions answered or just checking in. I know folks have strong feelings about their photographers, and I'm no different, love them!
