What a whirlwind 2010 has been for us so far! So much is happening and there are changes coming for VP; hence the slightly neglected blog of late. We have been commissioned by some amazing brides lately and I am so excited about the upcoming weddings in the next few months.

It’s my pleasure to introduce to you one of our couples and good friends, Katie and Hector. For their engagement session this past Saturday they wanted to go back to where he popped the question- Alamo Plaza in San Antonio. They also wanted some images at the nearby Mission Espada. What a gorgeous day for the session!

This is one of our favorites from the day. I am so glad I told James to throw my $30 craigslist chair in the car with us!

Katie and Hector, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. More to come!

Thank you to all the wonderful brides (and grooms and bridesmaids) that stopped by our table last night at the show. It was a pleasure talking with each of you and hearing about your wedding.

We had planned on setting up the Photo Booth as promised but there was just enough of a breeze last night that it didn’t quite work out. Maybe next time!

Just a reminder to all the WU guests- if you signed up with us, you are eligible for a complimentary Photo Booth (a $500 value) if you book with us. Give us a call or send an email to get more information about that!

I am so excited about the show this Wednesday at the Allan House! Beginning at 6pm on March 3 you can stop by, meet some amazing vendors (James and I included) and check out our new Photo Booth! We’ll have it set up for the show to show it off and have some fun in the process. Come get your picture taken! We’ll have the photos available for everyone to download by March 6.

We are also offering a complimentary Photo Booth ($500 value) to show attendees that book their wedding with us. Good on wedding coverage of 6 hours or more. Just be sure to leave your contact information with us to be eligible.

Here is some additional information about the show:

  • March 3, 6-8pm
  • Admittance is $5 (tickets online) or $10 at the door.
  • The unveiling of the Weddings Unveiled Bridal Lounge where brides can look through vendor portfolios in a lounge-like setting.
  • Free gifts and special offers inside the swag bags including a special treat from Embellish Nail Salon.
  • Raffles held every thirty minutes.
  • Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!

Laura and Kyle’s wedding was our kick off wedding of 2010. They had an intimate ceremony on January 16th at St. David’s Episcopal church. What a beautiful setting!

Their son, Alex, was a cutie but took a while to warm up to us and our big old cameras.

St. David’s is a beautiful church. It was fun to shoot at a new location but also challenging because of different lighting and flash restrictions during the ceremony.

Laura and Kyle, you are a sweet couple and we wish you all the happiness in the world.

Back in October I had the pleasure of dining with Caroline of Paloma’s Nest and Kathryn of Snippet & Ink. Along with our significant others we enjoyed some very tasty food at La Condesa downtown. It was a great evening and such a treat to meet these two lovely ladies in person! I really enjoyed hearing about how they both got started in the business- it was very encouraging. Makes me a bit braver about taking that ’step of faith’ in regards to VP- making it better and making things happen!

If you haven’t heard of these two ladies you are missing out! Jump over to Caroline’s store and check out her gorgeous items. Especially you brides- her ring bearer bowls are divine and the perfect extra touch to your day. And if you need some inspiration or just something pretty to look at, head over to Kathryn’s blog.

This post wouldn’t be complete without a few pictures. I’ll leave you with some images of my Faith bowl from Paloma’s Nest. Enjoy!
