Last December you may remember I covered an event called Edible Austin on behalf of Lori at The Cupcake Bar. It was also hosted by Finn & Porter who provided some amazing appetizers for the event. Just a couple months ago Joe from Finn & Porter contacted me asking if I’d be willing to photograph some more food for them. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity because shooting food is a secret passion.

I wanted to share a few images I took but only ones I know Finn & Porter has already made public. I hope these will make you want to try out Finn & Porter for yourself – I know I am looking forward to my next opportunity to dine with them.

Steamed Chilean Sea Bass (my favorite!) with scallions, shitake mushrooms, fresh ginger and cilantro, snow peas and a soy broth.

Smoked Hamachi in a melon cube, micro greens, crisp prosciutto and a red chili oil.

Local and free range, pan seared chicken.

Porterhouse steak topped with fried onion and bell pepper rings.

Beef Carpaccio with fried shallots, parmesan cheese, capers, arugula salad and truffle aioli.

And finally some amazingly delicate and beautiful sushi.

Keep an eye out for more images from this session but in the meantime, go try some of this food for yourself!

Enjoy!

A few of my favorite images from last Saturday’s wedding at Chapel Dulcinea. More to come!

I went overboard with this wedding post! So many favorites from this beautiful wedding at Barr Mansion.

The light at Barr Mansion is always lovely.

Dress details and final preparations.

Meanwhile, across the hall…

After the guys did their photos they had plenty of time to relax before the ceremony.

The favors were glasses that had their monogram on the side- an intertwined A, S and J. Since all of their guests and even the bride and groom themselves were from out of town, each table was assigned a Texas city.

Shannon’s father making last minute notes for his speech.

James did a fantastic job capturing this image below with the mansion in the background. Yummy solar flare!

Having a little fun with Shannon and her shoes.

Shannon and Aaron, thank you for commissioning us to capture your special day. We had a great time and wish you both all the best!

We just received new swatches for album cover options and I just love them! I can’t wait to create new sample albums with these – especially the Green Boa you can see in the photo below.

In case you weren’t aware we offer three types of albums:

Flush Mount, Linear Bound and Perfect Bound

All three come in multiple sizes and with a lot of fun cover options. The base prices for all albums start with 30 sides and the sky is the limit! We’d love to show off our samples as well so you can see just how awesome they are.

If you’ve been a client of ours and still have those wedding photos on a disc, please contact us! We’d love to help create an heirloom album for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.

It’s been a while since we’ve done any newborn sessions so I was excited when this one popped up. This little one decided to be wide eyed and alert for her moment in the spotlight.

If you are interested in a Lifestyle session for your family, newborn or kiddos, give us a call or send an email to get more information. We can easily schedule these during the week!
